It’s almost here! Tomorrow is (inter)National Scrapbooking Day and I’m getting geared up to celebrate! Actually, I’d have to say that I have already started celebrating. I started a major clean and reboot of my scraproom last weekend to clear some work space and refresh the space in general. It’s still far from perfect, but imperfect works better for me. I can find what I need and have gotten reaqainted with some of my older supplies and now I’m eager to play with them. Better yet, I have a list of projects that I’m eager to start on.
Now, the reality is that I’ll be pulled away by family needs and activities at least part of the day, and distracted by online chatter (and sales!) another part of the day, but I’ll be having a great time regardless, so it’s all good, right?
Here’s some of the online events I’ve found:
Has already published challenges on their blog. Over 100 prizes available from many major manufacturers. These challenges went live on May 4th and (mostly) close on Mar 25, giving crafters lots of time to play and create their entries.
Scrapbook and Cards Today
Will be posting on their blog every hour with opportunities to win fabulous prizes. Can’t wait to see
Get it Scrapped
This is the one I’m really looking forward to. The Get It Scrapped crop webinar room will be open and challenges posted throughout the day. If you’re scrapping at home, this will be a great group to chat with.
I know that there will also be many, many events in Facebook groups as well. I’ll be checking out the Paper Issues, Hip Kit and the Stashbashers NSD 2016 Virtual Crop for some inspiration and challenges.
My plan is to make a list of the challenges that inspire me, chat with a few of my virtual friends, then play some tunes and focus on scrapping, repeating as necessary. Otherwise, inspiration overload could result!
